Frederick, Maryland. I’m excited to announce that I am Wilderness is taking a new direction – with a new look and a new online platform. The main page is now hosted by Tumblr and will focus primarily on digital storytelling with the objective to share the voices and stories from our planet’s last truly wild places. As a digital documentary, I am Wilderness will also emphasize original content, produced by yours truly. This means posts will be fewer and less frequent than before, but will hopefully provide new images, stories and wild inspiration not found elsewhere online. In addition to the Tumblr site, be sure to follow I am Wilderness on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The old WordPress site is also getting a makeover. It’s original mission was to curate global news on wilderness, but is now being restructured as a resource page on global wilderness, hopefully to include background information on all the world’s major wilderness areas, key issues, ideologies, policies and more. I also hope to add an event calendar and ways to get involved in the near future. The resources site will be a support page to the primary I am Wilderness online documentary found on Tumblr.
